This portrait expresses how I feel at times. A jesters hat conjures up fun and silly images, but court jesters were often advisors and confidants to the King or Queen. I have used the colours of the hat on my face as well, as I wanted to convey that even when we remove that “hat” that a part of it still remains with us, a part of us.

The artwork measures approximately 20cm in diameter

the overall size including the frame is 23 cm in diameter, depth 3.5cm
