Original Artwork- Acrylic and charcoal on canvas board, framed in a white St Ives style frame

I had to research the word for the title of this one! The idea came from the idea of being in Limbo as the muse seems to be facing both forwards and backwards. I found the word abeyance means “ pending”.

I was drawn to the reference initially because it reminded me of wearing at adults shirt back to front at primary school for painting, parents would regularly donate shirts to be used as aprons. So I guess the painting has 2 of many sentiments. (everyone can take whatever they choose from my art) But maybe its a state of being between childhood and adulthood and wanting to remain in both camps!

It is painted on canvas board measuring approximately 45cm x 60cm, the overall approximate size including the frame is 51cm x 66cm x 3.5cm (depth)
